Cinecittà 's Teatro 10 will be the stage for the second edition of the FIVI Market in Rome. On Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, 2018, about 200 winemakers who are members of FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers, will welcome wine enthusiasts and the curious to tell them about the craft of winemaking, from the vineyard to the bottle. Organized in collaboration with Daniele De Ventura of Simposio - Trionfo del Gusto, the event will be an opportunity to taste and especially buy their wines. A sort of temporary national wine shop where you can find wines from all regions of Italy at one time. As with the Piacenza Market, trolleys and baskets will be available for visitors to make shopping easier.
"We chose to do this second edition of the FIVI Market in Rome at Cinecittà," says Luigi De Sanctis, a winemaker in Frascati and advisor to the Federation, "because it represents what is most territorialecican be in the capital. Cinecittà is to Rome what the vineyard is to FIVI winemakers: just as we protect the territory in which we live by working in the fields and respecting its fruits so Cinecittà through its films has been able to bring to the world the true essence of the city of Rome. After last year's excellent debut, we wanted to find for this second edition a place that could represent the special relationship that binds every winemaker to his land. It could only be Cinecittà."
The image of the poster for the second edition of the Rome Market was created by Vicenza-based illustrator Marina Marcolin, already the author for FIVI of the one for the 2015 edition of the Piacenza Market.
The opening hours of the Rome Wine Market are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission € 15.00 daily (reduced for AIS - FIS - FISAR - ONAV - AIES - ARS and SLOW FOOD members).
