La Poiana - Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

La Poiana is a wine that tells of the passion we have for vineyards, nature and our beautiful Tuscan countryside.

At first glance it presents a bright, velvety garnet color. The nose opens on notes of ripe dark fruit, such as plum and morello cherry, and then continues on tertiary notes of spice and tobacco. Outlining the olfactory bouquet we find floral tones of violets, and balsamic memories of medicinal herbs. On the sip it is well balanced, well-organized tannins and characterized by an aftertaste reminiscent of licorice and goudron.

• Grapes: Sangiovese
• Vinification: steel tanks without the use of selected yeasts, temperature-controlled maceration of 20/25 days.
• Aging: 24 months in French Allier oak barrels. Rests in bottle for at least 12 months.
• Alcohol content: 13.5 percent
